Not photogenic? Neither am I.

A graduate of ESAAT in Roubaix, drawn to animation and technology from the start, trained further in Poitiers, one of the few schools teaching 3D at the time. Communication, video, music videos, 3D, then animated series with Médialab in Paris. I’ve worked in image-making since 1991.

In 2001, I founded my own company, WIPON Creative Technology, which I ran for twenty-three years (award winner, Réseau Entreprendre Nord and HODEFI). Times changed, and so did my hunger for images: I’ve been a full-time author-photographer since 2024. I always was. Today, I claim it.

What those twenty-three years of creative direction taught me is to understand what’s at stake in an image before I even make it. One story among many: the director I photographed a few years ago at the Méridien Beach Plaza, in Monaco, now runs the Martinez, in Cannes. We’re still in touch.

I believe, paradoxically, that our era needs even more to showcase what’s human: what sets us apart, what’s unique in each of us. I love technology, I trained in it, I keep using it daily. But people still amaze me, and I hold onto a deep faith in that. Despite everything.
